Today I am listing 6 Texas motorcycle license plates from the sixties and seventies. Check my other auction to see the rest. (Shipping will gladly be combined.) Offered here is an original vintage vehicle license plate from a cycle dealership. This is a temporary tag, made or CARDBOARD. It reads (in part): "BUYER - TEXAS - 1972 - P225...GOOD FOR 10 DAYS ONLY...KENT'S HARLEY DAVIDSON SALES...ABILENE, TEXAS." (The pencil eraser in the photos is to cover the original owner's name.) Kent's Harley Davidson, of Abilene, TX. stared operation in 1964, and they are STILL in business, more than 55 years later. The tag measures 4 by 7 inches. This plate is in GOOD condition. It is USED. It is soiled. In the top / left corner, it was punctured to make a mounting hole. It still displays nicely. This item is guaranteed to be old & original - made almost 50 years ago - or your money back.
