  • Condition: This recent find is from the estate of a retired Engineer who had a huge collection of fountain pens and was actually a founding member of a local fountain pen club. This listing includes a VINTAGE Shaeffers Desk Top Fountain Pen Base/Holder and a Large White Dot Black with Gold accents Fountain Pen that includes the SCHAEFFERS LIFETIME NIB. Base and Pen are in Very Good overall condition for use and age with some storage wear. Base has small nick in bottom edge and very minimal wear from backside to the painted scene and Fountain Pen end has its tip broken off (see picture #8). Please see all pictures...

    Description

    This recent find is from the estate of a retired Engineer who had a huge collection of fountain pens and was actually a founding member of a local fountain pen club. This listing includes a VINTAGE Shaeffers Desk Top Fountain Pen Base/Holder and a Large White Dot Black with Gold accents Fountain Pen. Base is Green Glass with a black and gold River Boat Scene featuring a boys in a boat with a fishing pole. Base and Pen are in Very Good overall condition for use and age with some storage wear. Base has very small nick in bottom edge (harder to see) and very minimal wear from backside to the painted scene. Fountain Pens pointed end is broken off but pen is solid (cosmetic). NIB is marked "SHAEFFERS LIFETIME REG US PAT OFF" and barrel is marked "W.A. SHAEFFER PEN CO. PAT AUG. 25 08 FORT MADISON, IA. USA DEC 10.12 - JAN 27 - OCT 20 - NOV 24 14." Back side of base has original felt backing and two original Sheaffer's labels. Base is 7"L x 5-1/4"W and pen is appx. 6-1/4"L.
