    Description

Both of these pens are Sheaffer Lifetime pens with 14 karat gold nibs. One of the pens is longer than the other and has the number 800 written underneath the branding, I have no idea how to remove the ink cartridges or tubes, they're possibly stuck or I just don't know how to do it but both pens have ink in them and work, I wrote about a paragraph or two with both pens just to test them and they both seem to be working very nicely. The base is a bit more confusing to me as it appears to not only be a pen holder but possibly an inkwell of sorts? Which is confusing because the pens have ink tubes in them but one of the holders was cracked when I found this and upon removing it, it had a spongy material inside of it that was dried up and brittle but when I added some water to it, it turned spongy and immediately blackened my hands, I just assumed it was ink and those are some sort of inkwells but I could be wrong because I know nothing about these pens. The base also had a green felt bottom covering it but it was very dirty so I removed it and discarded it as there was no saving it, it was rotted and filthy, the base itself is in fairly decent condition until you flip it upside down and see a big chip out of the back corner and the bottom of the pen holders have some chips around the edges. The pens themselves are in pretty good shape although they'll need some polishing and theres light scratches on some of the plastic on them but the nibs are almost perfect, in the photo it looks like there is a bunch of specs or something on one of them, that is just dust, apparently that pen attracts it constantly. I have no idea what I have here but I'm just going to assume that it's some long lost treasure worth a fortune so I'm going to  start the auction off at 30 dollars and see where it goes, good luck, cheers!
