Vintage SHEAFFER 875 Lever Fill Fountain Pen 14K Nib in Blue - missing cap

Description

Up for auction is a vintage SHEAFFER's Balance or Admiral 875 lever fill Fountain Pen in a Blue color with a Sheaffer's 14k gold 2 tone nib; missing it's cap. The barrel of the pen is imprinted W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. FORT MADISON, IOWA, U.S.A. MADE IN U.S.A. 875. The nib is clearly imprinted Sheaffer's Reg. U.S. Patent Off. Made in U.S.A. 14K. The lever feels tight and sounds crunchy. It measures about 4 3/4 inches long. There are some imperfections on barrel which are magnified in the high def photos.
The pen is pre-owned and untested and sold as found.
I describe based on what I see and on research. These came from a large estate collection of vintage and antique pens/pencils I acquired and will continue to post over the coming months.
