VINTAGE 1967 TEXAS MOTORCYCLE LICENSE PLATE RARE VARIATION X11572 EXCELLENT

Today I am listing 6 Texas motorcycle license plates from the sixties and seventies. Check my other auction to see the rest. (Shipping will gladly be combined.) Offered here is an original vintage vehicle license plate from the state of Texas. It is embossed: "MOTORCYCLE X11571 1967 TEXAS." The plate measures 4 by 7 inches. This is a hard to find 1967 variation. The word "MOTORCYCLE" appears at the TOP of the plate. MOST of the '67 cycle plates I've seen have the word "MOTORCYCLE" at the BOTTOM. As near as I can tell, they started the year 1967 with the word "MOTORCYCLE" at the top, and soon changed to making it at the bottom. (The years following 1967 have the word appearing at the bottom.) This plate is in EXCELLENT condition, or an 8+ on a scale of 10. It does appear to have been USED, but not very much. It has a few scratches and paint nicks, but no serious wear. It appears that there is a small spot of white "touch-up" paint in the top / left corner. (See close-up with pencil point.) There is another small touch-up spot (about the size of a match head) between the top / left mounting hole and the top / left corner. I have looked it over carefully, and I don't see any other other "touch ups." Other than those VERY SMALL spots in the corner, the paint is ORIGINAL. This item is guaranteed to be old & original - made over 50 years ago - or your money back.
