VINTAGE 1966 TEXAS MOTORCYCLE LICENSE PLATE RARE VARIATION X3903 EXCELLENT

Today I am listing 6 Texas motorcycle license plates from the sixties and seventies. Check my other auctions to see the rest. (Shipping will gladly be combined.) Offered here is an original vintage vehicle license plate from the state of Texas. It is embossed: "MOTORCYCLE...X3902...1966...TEXAS." The plate measures 4 by 7 inches. This is a hard to find 1966 "late issue" variation. For MOST of the year 1966 (and the several previous years) Texas motorcycle plates were SMALLER (approx. 3 by 5 & 1/2 inches) and they did NOT have the word "MOTORCYCLE" on them. Late in 1966, the state made the plates larger, and added "MOTORCYCLE" at the top. This plate is in EXCELLENT condition, or a 9 on a scale of 10. I'm not sure if it was ever used. (It is WAS used, it didn't see much time on the road.) The FRONT has just a bit of paint wear near the top edge, and around the bottom corners and bottom mounting holes - not much. A little more paint wear on the back / top - again - not too much. The paint is ORIGINAL, with no "touch ups." This item is guaranteed to be old & original - made 55 years ago - or your money back.
