    Description

    Vintage 1930s British sterling silver condiment set in a blue hinged presentation box. The set consists of a 4 footed standing pepper pot with removable top, a footed open salt and hinged covered mustard pot with removable cobalt blue glass inserts and a pair of coordinating spoons.
    The set is held in an embossed textured blue and gold accented rectangular hinged presentation box which is lined with blue velvet and ivory satin fabric. The center of the ivory satin is marked with the symbol of the Scottish firm, Edwards & Sons, Ltd. Diamond Merchants 92 Buchanan Street Glasgow. The box opens by pushing the knob on the front and snaps closed. The blue velvet bottom has holes to hold the 3 pieces with ivory fabric under them.
    The 3 pots are marked E&S for Edwards and Sons, with an anchor for Birmingham, a lion passant indicating they are sterling silver and an upper case M indicating they were made in the year 1936. They are also marked Edward & Sons Glasgow on the bottom of each piece.
    The spoons are slightly different shapes are are also marked with an anchor, lion and M but do not have the E&S mark but another mark with an A in a triangle and what appear to be HO LTD on either side.
    Condition:
