    Description

For sale is an unusual early 20
    th
C Scottish provincial tiny toddy ladle by Frazer, Ferguson & McBean of Inverness.  The piece is 12 1/2 inches long and weighs 11 grams. The piece has a tiny circular bowl, only 1 inch in diameter with a long socket attached to a twisted baleen handle.  The handle crooks at the tip and has a conical cap.  The piece has not been monogrammed.  It is marked [F.F&M] and [INVSS].  It looks like an old piece, but the earliest mention of this partnership is 1906.
Condition on the ladle is fairly good.  The bowl has some dents and dark spots, and the tip of the cap is bent.  There is the normal wear of use.  An unusual piece of Scottish silver!
