    Description

Tiger's Eye Rough Rock Slab Stone Africa for Cabbing
    Lovely smaller flashy
    Tiger's Eye or Tiger Eye
    from Africa.
    This
rough rock stone slab for cabbing piece is 3.1 inches by 2.8 inches and 6.2 mm thick.
This unpolished semi precious stone slab is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
The natural stone slab weighs .18 lbs.
Tiger's Eye is a quartz usually with rich yellow and brown stripes, but can be red or blue.
It contains oriented fibers of crocidolite that have been replaced by silica. The fibers are twisted or crumpled instead of straight, reminiscent of sand and sunlight. Tiger-eye is also vitreous (hard, unbendable and glass-like). With its strong chatoyance, the gemstone gets its name from its resemblance to the eye of a tiger.
