- Book I  "The FOUNDATION"  is written in a unique fashion to have appeal for all ages and genders, while providing a colorful and complete tour of those early decades of the vehicle license plates of the Lone Star State.  Those immediately appreciated values of this book are found in its completeness, its use of color and its use of scale.  The reader will surely be pleased to find among these pages many long ago forgotten plates familiar to only a handful of people in the world today.
If this old man lasts long enough there will be at least three information and picture packed books documenting the introduction, evolution and sometimes unique purposes of the license plates created and displayed on Texas vehicles over more than a century.  Book II of this series - "Stickers, Tape and Other Related Items" - is appropriately named to give hint to its unique contents.  Book III - well, that one is still on the horizon - but a hint would be that there are a lot more interesting types of Texas license plates just asking to be documented in a book like these.

The one man project of creating this series of books began in April of 2004 and now, well over a decade later the first two books will be available and Book III is in its earliest stage of creation.  And . . . Book IV is becoming a gleam in this writers mind.  At this time I can only hope to celebrate the completion of one more book - but who knows what the future holds?
