This lovely Georgian Silver Sauceboat sits on 3 cast hoof feet and has a very well proportioned Chippendale rim.
It has an acanthus topped cast scroll handle and is in very serviceable condition.
It measures 7 3/4" in length, 3 7/8" wide and4 /14" high, and weighs 282 grams.
There are 4 hallmarks on the base -
Makers' Mark 'JH' for John Holland
Date Letter 'P' for 1750 London
Leopard's Head Crowned
Lion Passant
This fine example of an Mid-18th Century Sauceboat is engraved with 6 Feathers.
