    Description

Up for sale is an excellent and rare English antique perpetual desk calendar of diminutive size, only 5 3/16" tall. This beautiful Victorian desk piece was made by Levi & Salman, Birmingham, England in 1906. Its exquisite features include a sterling silver facing with a reeded frame punctuated by 11 x's with little dots in the center.
The tower shape of the oak wood frame features 3 windows for the month, date, and day. The windows are of 2 different sizes: the top and bottom are horizontal narrow openings, and the middle one is a wider rectangle.
On each side are 4 metal knobs which control the canvas on which is printed the month, date, and day in black letters and numbers. It requires all 8 knobs to "fine tune" the canvas letters and numbers.
The month and day are easily moved with two knobs, one on each side, while the date is controlled by 4 knobs, the top two for moving the canvas forward and the bottom two for moving the roller backward.
    Size: 5 3/16" x 2 9/16" x 1 5/16"
