Description
Here's a very early Sheaffer model introduced, I think, about 1916. This SHEAFFER No. 2 pen is a chased black hard rubber pen, a clipless model and a lever filler. The lever is the only trim and is said to be nickel plated. The pen is 5-5/16" long and is impressed "2" on the flat base of the barrel. The three line barrel imprint is W. A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. in the top line and FORT MADISON U.S.A. along with several patent date marks. The exterior is in excellent condition with no toning, chasing wear or any other defects. The pen will need a new sac and possibly a new j-bar, before it will take up ink. Under the cap, the section, feed and nib are also in flawless condition. The 14kt nib is marked, SHEAFFER, 2, SELF-FILLING. It is a straight, fine point with good tip material and moderate flexibility. Super condition for its age.Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping. Refunds on approved returns
