    Description

    This beautiful Craftsman set of fountain pen and mechanical pencil in spectacular Ebonized Mother of Pearl dates from somewhere between 1940 and 1943. The only blemishes are a couple of minute nicks at the pen’s cap’s end below the cap band (there are no cracks), and, if it is one, the little dried ink spots in the ink-vu, which may come off with repeated refilling. I was able to remove most of them when cleaning the section and feed and re-sacking the pen. Both the pen and the pencil work as they should. You will observe that the nib was fashioned to write facing in either direction, up or down. In its normal position it lays down a very smooth, medium line. The nib also has a nice spring to it, which some might consider semi-flex. Please pay special attention to the photographs to get a better idea of what the set looks like.
