Medal "March 1, 1881" - a medal of the Russian Empire for rewarding individuals who were present at the assassination of Alexander II. Established 12 (24) in March 1881 by the decree of Emperor Alexander III. Silver medal in the amount of 200 pieces were minted at the St. Petersburg Mint and by 28 April (10 May) transferred to the War Office on 30 April (12 May) were approved by Alexander III on presentation of the War Minister Milutin.
