Description
This pastel green Snorkel Admiral is in excellent restored condition. There are no defects to report for either pen or pencil. The pen has been tuned for smooth writing and proper ink flow. The mechanical pencil propels and retracts as designed and has a new eraser and 3 extra leads in the storage area. The gift case is poor with foxing on the interior lining and marks o;n the exterior. The original Sheaffer Snorkel instructions leaflet is in very good condition.
This Version of the Snorkel
The Admiral model features a 14k gold nib, gold-filled clip, and 1/4" gold-filled cap band. The nib is a smooth writer (please see the photos of the writing sample).
All restorations include
disassembly, cleaning,
replacement of all seals and the sac,
smoothing and adjusting the nib,
refinishing the plastic, stainless steel, and gold-filled surfaces,
filling the pen with ink (not just dipping)
and producing multiple writing samples over 2 days (like the ones in the photos).
All shipping materials are now biodegradable.
