  • Condition: This burgundy Valiant is in excellent restored condition. There is a very light scratch on the blind cap that is not noticeable at all. Restoration includes disassembly, cleaning, replacement of all seals and the sac, smoothing and adjusting the nib, refinishing the plastic, stainless steel, and gold-filled surfaces, filling the pen with ink (not just dipping), and producing multiple writing samples over 2 days (like the one in the photo).

    This burgundy Valiant is in excellent restored condition. There is a very light scratch on the blind cap that is not at all noticeable.
    Some oddities: This pen is from the late years of Snorkel production and thus its shade of burgundy is deeper than burgundy Snorkels made in the earlier years. This shade is known as "new burgundy." Furthermore, the Sheaffer imprint found on the barrel of nearly all Snorkel pens is on this pen found above the cap band, another late model characteristic.
    Sheaffer's Snorkel Valiant is a White Dot model featuring a 14k gold Triumph nib with platinum mask. Other premium features include a 3/8" gold-filled cap band and a gold-filled, spring-loaded clip.
    I will include a photocopy of an original Sheaffer's Snorkel instructions leaflet.
