Fragment of a letter signed by Princess Charlotte of Wales (1796-1817), daughter of George IV. Measures 7.25"x 3.85". Someone has noted in pencil that it was written 1811, but nothing in the fragment itself indicates a date.
From the collection of Captain Peter Johnston-Saint, who worked for many years as an agent collecting on behalf of Sir Henry Wellcome. This collection was purchased at the Sotheby's December 10th, 2019 sale.
