Powell Butte Plume Agate Unpolished Slab: Pretty Plumes and Moss; Oregon

Description

Another famous plume agate variety from the area west of Prineville, Oregon, this piece features small multicolor plumes and moss agate, along with pretty jasper. Powell Butte Plume agate was dug out 30+ years ago. The plumes should stand out more as you sand this down during the cutting-polishing process. This piece could be used to cut several cabochon gemstones, or for a similar lapidary project. A rarer old-time variety that is utterly collectible and now very difficult to source.
The photo which includes the measure/ruler was taken dry, the material in the other pictures was dampened to give a better idea of how colors and patterns may intensify once polished. Photos were taken under natural sunlight.
