You see the 10 rules by "Alotta Green" designed to turn the above-average pool player into an excellent pool player. A word of caution, though. If you decide to display a copy at your favorite watering hole, your competition may become better players as well if they follow these rules.
But isn't that what you want?; to play a better game against better opponents. It's not much fun or much of a challenge to win every time playing poorer players. The challenge and the satisfaction come from playing your best game and winning against really good opponents. Most of the rules are easy to do, but several require you to go to work to succeed, especially the last one--practice, practice, practice.

I picked a type font that is easy to read.
Obviously, these are not official rules. Most are guidelines that all professional players use.
If you want to look and act professionally at the amateur pool table, then these
guidelines will do just that. At the least, you will be respected by your opponents
by showing them that you know how to conduct yourself like a professional player.
I have seen many otherwise pretty good players who do not use these guidelines. As a result, they will never be much better than they are now.
One thing I did not include--learn the official rules for all games you will be playing.
Then you will know what to say if a question about play arises.
