    Description

    Mushroom Jasper Unpolished Stone Slab
A nice unpolished stone slab of Mushroom Jasper that is 4.7 inches by 2.4 inches and 5.5 mm thick.
This lapidary rough rock slice weighs .18 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
Mushroom Jasper is found in La Paz County, Arizona.
Though named jasper, it is actually a highly silicated orbicular rhyolite.
It was named Mushroom Jasper because somebody thought its orbs look like mushrooms!
The mushroom pattern is usually grayish and often has quartz crystals in their centers.
