London English Sterling Silver Expandable Dish Cross Trivet William Potter c1780

is an antique, sterling silver dish cross, made by William Potter of London, England, circa 1780. Piece is properly marked underneath and also o several other parts. Very ornate shape and design, having expandable feet that slide up and down the cross. The burner has a removable top with lid. Very nice and clean and in superb condition with only light signs of age wear, amazing
for it being over 240 years old. The top edge of the burner lid has dark tarnish. Two of the feet slide very tightly, two are little bit loose. They have resistance mechanisms inside so a jeweler can definitely  adjust them to be tighter.
