    John Sherman (1823-1900) autographed  free franked portion of envelope postmarked Boston Mass 1888 with U.S.S.stamped.  He was Senator from Ohio 1861-1877 and 1881-1897, Representative 1855-1861, Secretary Of State 1897-1898, Secretary Of The Treasury 1877-1881.  He was the brother of General William T. Sherman
