This is a letter from John S. D. Eisenhower, son of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, to Sigurd Larmon, dated May 9, 1960. It is on his White House stationery, and comes with the mailing envelope, with "Armed Forces Day Third Saturday in May" cancellation. Letter in its entirety says:
Dear Mr.
Larmon:
On my return, Ann Whitman gave me the picture of the folks
taken
on New Year's Eve. It is certainly a
fine
one, and I appreciate your sending it to me a lot. With best regards, Sincerely, John.

Larmon was one of Eisenhower's closest personal friends, who frequently played Golf and Bridge with Ike, vacationed together with their wives, and travelled with him on Presidential or Personal business trips. This is one of several Presidential items from the Larmon estate, which I will be listing on ebay. Brief Bio of Mr. Sigurd Larmon:. President of the advertising firm of Young and Rubicam, Inc., New York. Mr. Larmon was Vice Chairman of Citizens for Eisenhower and, in this capacity worked in press and public relations in the 1952 and 1956 presidential campaigns. Mr. Larmon was one of a nine-member committee chosen by Eisenhower in 1953. It was called the U.S. Advisory Commission for United States Information Agency (USIA), which was later called the Advisory Commission for Public Diplomacy. Larmon served in this current State Department position from 1954 until 1969. He worked with LBJ, and went to Vietnam to gather information on public opinion in 1967. He finished his public career at the USIA under the Nixon administration.
