    Irish Bright Cut Dublin Star Engraved Silver Teaspoon James Salter 1821-1840
    Antique Celtic point teaspoon with "Dublin Star" engraving. The maker's mark is that of James Salter of Dublin, Ireland who was in business from 1821 to 1840.  The star pattern was a traditional Irish design of that era.
    Bright cut engraved design of a star at the top of the handle.  Three engraved initials.
    Hallmarked with the Dublin Hibernia, the Crowned Harp (Dublin), and the maker's mark JS (James Salter). No date letters are present (as is usual with Irish teaspoons of this period).
    Length:  just over 5 and 1/8".
    Weight: 11.8 grams.
