    Description

    For sale is a very fine English Victorian sterling napkin ring with engraved birds decoration by maker WE, London, 1880-81.  The ring is 1 1/8 inches tall by 1 5/8 inches in diameter and weighs 30 grams.  It has flat sides finely decorated with engraved birds flying and sitting on a branch with a nest.  It has not been monogrammed.  It is marked [WE] in an oval with full London hallmarks for 1880-81 on the side as shown.
    Condition on the ring is fairly good.  It is a bit out-of-round, with some deeper scratches in the interior, and there is normal surface wear.  A beautiful old napkin ring!
