    Description

    For sale is a nice Irish George IV sterling mustard spoon by maker IB, Dublin, 1827-28. The piece is 4 3/4 inches long and weighs a1 grams.  The spoon has a teardrop-shaped bowl, swaged drop, squared shoulders and a downturned fiddle handles.  It is monogrammed “JJF” on the handle front.  The piece is marked with an [IB] maker’s mark and full Dublin hallmarks for 1827-28.
    Condition on the spoon is good.  There is a slight handle bend and normal wear from use.  A handsome old spoon!
