    Металлизированный золотой шнур (снур) - ментишкет - предназначался для застежки ментика офицеров
    полков, коим был положен золотой прибор:
    Лейб-гвардии Гусарского Его Величества полка и 11-го Изюмского гусарского полка.
    Ментишкет был незаменим в случаях, когда ментик носился расстегнутым (при парадной форме или в теплое время года): до 1836 года расстегнутый ментик надевали на левое плечо, в более позднее время - "на опаш", то есть за спину.
    Массивный плетеный шнур из металлизированной нити, квадратного сечения с почти сантиметровой гранью, ранее именовавшийся также "гусарской застежкой", с подвижными фиксирующими скобами-варворками на желтой нитяной основе и плетеной пуговицей-костыльком.
