Gifford Pinchot [1865 1946] was an American forester and politician who served as the 28th Governor of Pennsylvania and was appointed as the first Chief of the United States Forest Service in 1905 by President Theodore Roosevelt and served until 1910. Listed for auction is the autograph of Gifford Pinchot signed on a postcard. The autograph is addressed to a collector and is signed ''Gifford Pinchot'' in black fountain pen and dated in typed July 5, 1932. The postcard measures 5.50 x 3.25 inches, it has trivial toning/edge wear otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic and is a nice example of this noted American statesman.
