Georgian Style English Solid Sterling Silver Round Tea or Serving TrayPresented is a vintage, solid sterling silver tray made by Suckling Ltd of Birmingham, England in 1961. This rather large tray is sturdy and heavy weight. The rim is in a classical Chippendale form and the whole tray is raised on 3 Onslow scroll style feet. The tray has never been monogrammed. This is a reproduction of a 19th century, Georgian style tray. This would make a wonderful tea tray that would match many styles.
The underside is marked with the anchor mark for Birmingham, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter M for the year 1961 and a maker's mark for Suckling Ltd.
This tray is in excellent overall condition. There is surface wear that can be professionally buffed out. There are no damages and no repairs.
The tray measures 13 3/4 inches in diameter and is 1 1/4 inches tall.
Weight: 1,180 grams or 41.6 ounces.
