This item comes from my Dad's collection. Dad never did anything in moderation and when he passed 6 years ago, my siblings and I inherited a massive collection of celebrity and sports memorabilia. This item has been sitting in a box in my guest closet since the probate ended. Dad LOVED adding pieces to his collection and I looked forward to his calls and stories about his latest finds. I just don't share his enthusiasm about these collectibles and I certainly don't have the room to display them. So it's best that I let them go and have them bring joy to fans of the celebrities.A little about me. I've been trading on E-bay since the 1990's. I have perfect feedback after buying and selling more than a thousand items on this platform. I'll gladly combine items to save you money on postage. I typically ship these photos using USPS first class. To provide peace of mind, I offer a 100% money back guarantee if a buyer isn't happy for any reason at all. The mat measures 11"x14". The picture is about 8"X12".
I found this letter in a box of autographed items that I inherited from my Dad. The letter is written on University of Alabama in Birmingham stationary and is dated August 20, 1979. It is signed by George C Wallace, the former Governor of Alabama, former first Gentleman of Alabama and former Democratic and Independent presidential candidate. One can only speculate on the content of Colonel Bailey's letter, but it is clear that Mr. Wallace enjoyed it enough to respond.
