Fine GARRARD English Sterling COIN BANK-MAIL BOX Form-London 1997

Description

Up for bid is a fine English sterling coin bank in the form of a Royal Mail letter box from Garrards, London, 1997.  The piece is 7 3/4 inches tall by 2 3/8 inches in diameter at the foot and weighs a hefty 343 grams.  It has a press-fit lidded hole in the base to access the contents.  It is monogrammed [JGV] in a rectangle on the front.  It is marked on the foot edge with the [G&Co./Ltd] maker’s mark, London hallmarks for 1997, and “GARRARD”.
Condition on the bank is good.  There is just normal surface wear from handling.  A nice piece of silver!
