    Description

    Up for bid is a fine English sterling salver with Celtic style decoration by J.B. Chatterley & Sons, Ltd, Birmingham, 1973-74.  The piece is 9 7/8 inches in diameter and stands 1 1/4 inches tall.  It weighs 539 grams.  It has a Celtic-style filigree rim with dragon shapes.  It stands on four unusual spiral feet.  It has not been monogrammed.  It is marked [JBC/ &S / Ld] in a shield, with Birmingham hallmarks for 1973-74.
    Condition on the piece is quite good.  There are a couple of very minor shallow dents, some tiny black spots and normal light wear from use.  A fine silver salver!
