English Sterling Silver Wood Lined Cigarette Box, 334 grams

This listing is for a lovely English Sterling Silver wood lined cigarette box, c. early 20th. The box has a an almost square shape with rounded corners. The wood lined interior is clean and prevents moisture from the contents. The box has a tight hinge with the box opening and closing securely. Marked on the exterior side on both the top and bottom section with the English hallmarks for London, Sterling Silver and with maker's stamp of Percy Horace Arthur Whitehouse who worked in London in the early 20th Century. The date letter stamp is illegible but we feel that the box is from this period.
Measures 1 3/4" high, 3 3/8" long an 3 1/2" wide. Weighs 334 grams (including wood lined interior).
This nice box is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear.
