    Description

    For sale is a small English George III sterling platter spoon by John Lambe, London, 1776-77.  The piece is 10 3/8 inches long and weighs 71 grams.  It has a swaged rounded drop and a downturned rounded handle.  It is engraved with the crest of a lion is a crown holding a flagpole with an anchor pennant.  It is marked with the [I.L] maker’s mark and full London hallmarks for 1776-77.
    Condition on the piece is good. There is normal wear from use, though it a bit overpolished and shiny.  A fine old serving piece!
