    Description

    Handwritten manuscript letter signed by Daniel O'Connell (1775-1847), known as The Liberator and leader of Roman Catholic Ireland. Glue marking to reverse where this was removed from a scrapbook page. Some creases and moderate wear to front. Corners neatly clipped. 7.25" x 4.5".
    From the collection of Captain Peter Johnston-Saint, who worked for many years as an agent collecting on behalf of Sir Henry Wellcome. This collection was purchased at the Sotheby's December 10th, 2019 sale.
