A large,  endless cross, centered in a wreath of oak leaves, indicates the number  of days of the continuing siege of Sevastopol - "349". On the reverse  side of the cross there is an inscription along the rim "Vospom zasch  Sevastopolya 1854-1855". The cross was made of silver, worn on the  ribbon of St. George.
