Description
Sizes: 19.5" x 15.5" framed and the image area is 8 1/4" x 10". The hanging wire on the back is broken.This letter was handwritten by General D. H. Hill, who was Stonewall Jackson’s Brother-in-law, to his wife, Isabella, during the peninsular campaign. It was Composed about 2 ½ months before the battle of Malvern Hill. The letter was Framed at my father’s direction in a front and back configuration as shown. A Typed reproduction of the text is taped to the reverse.
