Cased Set/10 English Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons & Tongs, George Hape

This listing is for a nice cased set of ten (10) English Sterling Silver demitasse spoons with matching sugar tongs, c. 1905. Marked with English hallmarks for Sheffield, Sterling with date letter for 1905 and maker's trademark stamp for George Hape.
Spoons measure 4 1/2" long. Tongs measure just under 4 1/2". Combined silver weight 195 grams. Cases set weighs 1.3 pounds.
Each spoon is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. Sugar tongs are slightly out of round on the top of the tongs and reflect some wear from normal use. Outside cover of case is worn and slightly tattered around the edges, however, hinges and snap closure are good and case opens and closed correctly. Inside lid of case is covered with royal purple silk which is faded but not torn and fitted bottom of case is covered with royal purple velvet that is clean and in good condition. Case is fitted for 12 spoons, however, 2 are missing and we are selling the set to include only ten (10) spoons. Silver has natural patina and will need to be polished.
