c1860 Elkington Silver Gilt Plate Cherub Putti Centerpiece Epergne 3pc Victorian

Condition:
The condition for this early piece shows the quality in the making back then. Base is an art nouveau swirl with grapes on vines and cherub with raised arms holding a circle that the bowl piece sits in (I just found a small impressed mark on interior of that circle with three diamond shapes meeting in center-interesting). Bottom of the base piece is also marked as shown with CF Draper, I believe the store that sold it back then, and the marks for the Elkington Company below that.
Only on the underside bottom of base do you see some speckles of tarnish, and a tiny amount of plate loss/shelf wear. Areas of base that show when displayed have no plate loss - it is lovely. The bowl piece has some scuffs and pin head size specks plate loss where the ribbed lines end near center from where epergne base sits. So that wear is pretty much covered when put together. Otherwise a few minor surface scuffs, but does shine brightly. The center of this bowl piece has a bowtie type space in center where the bottom of the epergne horn attaches. The epergne has similar fluting as the bowl it attaches to, and no plate loss. The base of the horn has a couple minor flat dents on edge..see photo. Very minor and not something you notice from any distance.

: A substantial early piece from this historically notable company that made history with its electroplating process back then. Amazing to find all three pieces still together as well as in this excellent of condition.
