Breast sewn Star of Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky. The stars of all Russian orders during XVIII - XIX centuries was used for everyday wearing on uniforms and were often sewn for each of the uniform sets
The Order of St. Alexander was conceived by Peter the Great in February 1722 in connection with the celebration of the Nishtadt Peace, he intended to establish the order as a reward solely for military merit. The death of the emperor prevented the implementation of his plans, the first awards began to be carried out only in May 1725, but the date of the establishment of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky is considered August 30, 1725, the day of St. Alexander Nevsky.
