Description
Offered for sale are a group of3 Three
beautiful
all sterling silver
,
Gold guilt,
Dessert Knives (?)
in the pattern we believe may be a variation of the English Kings pattern
(but we are not sure)
made in London circa 1826 by William Eaton.
The knives have a full set of hallmarks on
both the blade and the handles
and are
8 1/2" in length
. There is a
heraldry mark
on the handles
as shown in the pictures, which again we don't know whose family that it belonged to originally. It looks like it has a
crown
as part of the mark, which may or may not mean a high up British Nobility original owner.
(see pictures for close ups)
The Knife blades have a beautiful design on both sides of the blade and hallmarking on one side. The sterling silver blades are all covered in
gold guilt
and in excellent condition. The sterling silver handles also have the full set of hallmarking's and gold guilt covering and are in excellent condition.
(see pictures for close ups)
(If anyone knows the name of this pattern and what these knives were used for or the heraldry mark family name please let us know)
