    Product Description
An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V Britannia standard silver sauceboats; an addition to our dining silverware collection
These exceptional antique George V Britannia standard* silver sauceboats have a plain rounded boat shaped form onto a swept pedestal foot.
The body of each piece is plain and embellished with an applied moulded border to the rim.
The sauceboats are fitted with fine and impressive C shaped handles featuring an applied moulded design to the upper portion.
    * Britannia Silver - The Britannia silver standard of 958 (95.84% of fine silver), denoted by the icon of the seated Britannia holding an oval shield, was introduced by William III in 1697. This was to indicate the slightly higher standard of silver from sterling silver standard of 925 (92.5% of fine silver).
    Condition
These antique sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Full Britannia hallmarks struck to the surface of the body of each sauceboat are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
