Presented is a fine English sterling silver gravy or sauce boat. This piece dates to 1935 and was made by Barker Bros Silver, Ltd. The gravy boat is done in a sleek, classical style, standing on three pad shaped feet. This piece is spotlessly clean inside and out, with a high mirror finish.
This piece is hallmarked on the side with the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the city of Birmingham, the date letter L for 1935, the commemorative jubilee stamp for King George V, and the maker's mark for Barker Bros Silver, Ltd. The underside is also stamped sterling and Made in England.
