Antique 1903 English Sterling Silver Side Handle Chocolate Pot Coffeepot Teapot

Description

Presented is a wonderful English sterling silver chocolate pot. This piece dates to 1903 and was made by Walker & Hall. The chocolate pot has a beautiful handle and finial carved from a rich dark wood, possibly ebony. The chocolate pot has a monogram of C on the side in Gothic script. The exterior of the pot is polished to a bright silver finish. The interior is clean as can be and ready for use.
This piece is in great overall condition. There are only the most minor of dings around the sides, nothing of any consequence. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the side with the lion passant for sterling silver, the crown for the city of Sheffield, the date letter L for 1903, and the maker's mark for Walker & Hall. The interior of the lid is also hallmarked with the lion passant and the maker's mark.
The pot is about 6 5/8 inches tall.
The pot weighs 270 grams or 9.5 regular ounces.
