This is a Fun AMAZING Signed Book by than First Lady of the United States Eleanor Roosevelt. From a local Estate I have the Complete Story or Provenance including a Newspaper Article that describes how the Autograph was obtained, even the obituary of the woman who owned and had the book signed. Basically, back in 1939 2 sisters took a train ride, happened to be sitting in the same car as than First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. A conversation ensued, and she agreed to sign the books each of the young girls were reading. This is a 1934 Hard Cover copy of UNDER THE LILACS by Louisa M. Alcott, it has been hand signed inside the cover at the top by Mrs. Roosevelt. The signature is crisp and clean in black pen, with a little smudge towards the end. I have 3 printed pages that includes her Obituary and Life Story, along with the Original Newspaper Article that tells about how they obtained the signature. It's a Wonderful Story and Historical Autograph.
