Beeswax is used to fill the slate seams when assembling and re-leveling pool or billiards tables.  This
blue
wax stick compound is harder than regular yellow/orange beeswax.  Just carefully heat the slate joint a little and then melt it into the seams using a hand-held propane torch, wait for it to dry, and scrape off the excess with a razor blade.  It's that easy!  You can squeeze the scrapings back onto the stick to save it for use later.  One stick will do at least one table...maybe two; if your table has exposed slate screw holes in the playing area (or unusually large gaps between the slate sections), you might want to order an extra wax stick (sold separately) to fill these.      Tip: cover screw heads with a penny for easy removal of wax at a later date!
