    Description:
    Presented for your consideration is this pair of Camp Fire Girls books from the 1920s.
    The first book in the lot is a 1924 edition of, The Book of the Camp Fire Girls, and it was published by The Camp Fire Girls Inc. in New York. The 223 page book is essentially a manual for Camp Fire Girls.  It contains information on the organization, how to become one, traditions, camping and how to earn honors. Each of the honors is listed with ways that the honor badges can be earned. All pages appear to be intact and free of rips and tears. Finished with a soft, wrap cover. Cover is loose from the pages but the page binding is still in very good condition. Interior of the front cover has a message inscribed in ink from a previous owner. Name of a previous owner is also marked in pencil on the front cover. Overall in GOOD condition. Measures 6 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide and 3/8" thick.
    The second book in the lot is a 1921 edition of the fictional work, The Camp Fire Girls on Hurricane Island, by Margaret Love Sanderson. It was published by The Reilly & Lee Co. in Chicago. Opposite the title page is an illustration of the camp fire girls on the beach. This illustration was done by Harry W. Armstrong. All 216 pages of the book are intact and look to be free of damage, outside of some very light edge foxing. Light cover edge wear. Name of a previous owner is on the inside front cover. Overall in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition. Measures 7 3/4" long, 5 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" thick.
