a Representative from Blair County; born in Upper Tyrone Forge, Blair County, Pa., September 20, 1859; engaged in the insurance business; clerk and passenger brakeman, Pennsylvania Railroad Company; deputy, office of register of wills and recorder of deeds, Blair County (1881-1889); member, Blair County Republican Committee (secretary, 1884-1886; president, 1887-1888); elected, register of wills and recorder of deeds, Blair County (1890-1896); lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1907 term; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1906); solicitor, Blair County elected offices; died, November 15, 1935 in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania
