    ~ Assayed in London in 1730 during the reign of King George II ~

    This Sterling Silver Hash or Basting Spoon is in the typical Hanoverian Pattern with double-drop terminal
    and tip'd up ribbed stem, is 13 7/8" in length and weighs a healthy 140 grams.
    This Hash Spoon is bottom-marked with 4 well-struck hallmarks;
    Makers' Mark 'SH, heart above, pellet below' for Samuel Hutton (Grimwade 2528),
    Lion Passant,
    Leopard's Head Crowned,
    Date Letter 'P' for 1730 London.
